Multicultural Education Program
Welcome
Welcome to the Multicultural Education Program! The M.Ed. in Social Foundations/
Multicultural Education offers students of multiple disciplines a strong foundation
in the principles of multiculturalism, equity and social justice. Our aim is to
facilitate meaningful educational experiences in which our students experience the
joy and power of learning in diverse communities.
Our faculty are diverse, actively engaged in the community working with under-represented
groups, and are dedicated to supporting teachers in challenging professional times.
Our personal, professional and community experiences strongly influence our pedagogy
that calls for educators to be leaders in multiple contexts. We are delighted that
the College of Education has chosen “Diversity” as its target standard for accreditation
in 2014.
