Personnel Development Partnership At FAU
Purpose:
The purpose of the Personnel Development Partnership at FAU, (PDP), is to increase the State's capacity to recruit, prepare and retain highly qualified personnel in Florida that provide instructional and related services to children with disabilities.
Funding Statement:
This product was developed by the PDP at FAU, through the FLDOE, a special project funded by the State of Florida, Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, through federal assistance under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part B and/or Part D.
Mission:
- To conduct activities to support the Florida Professional Development
plan for special education personnel development.
- To provide advice and oversight for changes in existing policy and
rules affecting personnel development.
- To promote linkages between personnel development and fiscal
policies.
- To facilitate meaningful parent, agency, and community involvement.
- To provide recommendations based upon reliable data.
