Programs and Services..
Professional Development for Teachers
: during the academic
year, the Center offers six one-day
workshops, to deepen teachers' knowledge of
specific Holocaust, genocide and human
rights topics. These workshops focus on
content and methodology. The workshops are
offered at FAU's Boca Raton , and Jupiter
Campuses. Professional development credit is
available for completion of these learning
opportunities. For specific information and

Introduction to Holocaust Studies
for Educators, five-day Summer Institute:
annual five-day intensive
introduction to the history of the Holocaust
and Holocaust pedagogy. Co-sponsored by the
Florida Department of Education, FAU Raddock
Eminent Scholar Chair for Holocaust and
Judaic Studies, the School District of Palm
Beach County and LEAH (League for
Educational Awareness of the Holocaust).

Holocaust
Survivors Speakers' Bureau : the
Center schedules Holocaust survivors to
speak to school classes throughout the year.

Survivors generally speak to one group each
day and prefer to speak to combined classes
once rather than to several separate classes
in one day.
Resource Center and Lending
Library : The
Center provides an extensive collection of
resources that are recommended and/or used
in the State of Florida Holocaust Curriculum
.
