Graduate Degree Programs

General Requirements for all graduate programs include:
  • Completion of graduate application
  • Receipt of official transcripts
  • Official copy of Graduate Record Exam (GRE) not older than five years.
  • Additional requirements are listed in each program.
Master’s Degrees:
Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Elementary Education (K-6)
The Master’s Degree in Elementary Education program is for teachers with Temporary or Professional Certification who wish to pursue an advanced degree in their field.
Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Elementary Education with ESOL plus Certification (Grades K-6)
The Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with ESOL plus Certification program is for those seeking initial certification. This program includes a student teaching component.
Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Reading Education (Grades K-12)
The Master’s Degree in Reading Education program is for certified teachers seeking state reading certification while obtaining an advanced degree.
Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction plus Certification
The Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction plus Certification in K-12 or Secondary Education program is for those seeking initial certification and includes a student teaching component. Specializations are available in: Art, Biology, Chemistry, English, French, German, Mathematics, Music, Physics, Social Sciences, or Spanish.
Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Social Foundations in Educational Psychology
The Master’s Degree in Social Foundations of Education in Educational Psychology program does not lead to certification in any area but allows students to specialize in the application of psychology in an educational setting.
Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) in Environmental Education
The Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Environmental Education program does not lead to certification in any area but allows students to specialize in the filed of environmental education.
